If you register for access to a Taxworld customer account, we create and manage that account for you. We store your email address, password hash, profile/account details, membership status, and the records needed to operate and secure the service.

Passwords are not stored in plain text.

5. Payments (GoCardless)

If you buy or subscribe to paid services, payment and mandate information may be processed by GoCardless or another billing provider used for that service. We receive the information needed to administer the payment, customer record and related support.

  • Contract: to respond to requests, create accounts, supply products and services, and administer payments.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the site, prevent misuse, respond to enquiries, maintain customer records and improve our services.
  • Consent: for optional marketing communications and analytics cookies.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records required for tax, accounting and regulatory compliance.

7. Service Providers, Analytics and Security
