Income Tax Act 2007 section 1030

Transitional provisions and savings

Section 1030 gives effect to Schedule 2 and grants the Treasury power to make additional transitional or saving provisions in connection with the Act coming into force.

  • Schedule 2, which contains the transitional provisions and savings, is given legal effect by this section
  • The Treasury may make orders containing transitional or saving provisions as it considers appropriate in connection with the Act coming into force
  • Any such Treasury order may include provisions with retrospective effect, to cover situations where the need for transitional arrangements only becomes apparent after the Act is already in force
  • Until section 1014 of this Act comes into force, the existing order-making procedure under section 828(4) of ICTA applies to orders made under this section
