Purchased life annuity payments: penalty for false statements

Section 145 originally imposed penalties for making false statements in connection with purchased life annuity payments, but has been repealed.

  • This section previously dealt with penalties for false statements relating to purchased life annuity payments.
  • The entire section has been repealed and is no longer in force.
  • The repeal was effected by the Finance Act 2007, section 114 and Schedule 27, Part 2(13).
  • Any penalty provisions for false statements in tax matters are now governed by other legislation.
