Exclusion of deeply discounted securities from accrued income profits

Section 84 originally excluded deeply discounted securities from the accrued income scheme provisions, but has since been repealed.

  • This paragraph was part of the transitional provisions in Schedule 2 of ITTOIA 2005.
  • It dealt with the interaction between deeply discounted securities and the accrued income scheme (formerly sections 711 to 728 of ICTA 1988).
  • The provision has been repealed in its entirety by the Income Tax Act 2007.
  • The repeal was effected by sections 1031 and 1034 of, and Schedule 3 Part 1 to, the Income Tax Act 2007.
