Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 section 567

Losses

Section 567 dealt with the treatment of losses arising from estates in the administration period, but this provision has been removed from the legislation.

  • Section 567 was part of Chapter 12 (sections 555–569) of the Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005, which covered income from estates in administration.
  • The entire Chapter 12, including section 567, was repealed by the Finance Act 2013.
  • The repeal took effect from the 2013–14 tax year onwards, meaning the provision has no application from that year forward.
  • For tax years prior to 2013–14, the original rules on losses from estates in administration would still have applied to those earlier periods.
