Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005 section 39

Designation of non-legal staff

Section 39 provided for the designation of non-legal staff within the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, but this section has been removed from the legislation.

  • Section 39 originally allowed for the designation of non-legal staff working within the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office.
  • This section was part of a group of provisions (sections 34 to 39) that dealt with the structure and staffing of that office.
  • All of these sections were removed from the Act with effect from 27 March 2014.
  • The removal was a consequence of the merger of the Director of Revenue and Customs Prosecutions with the Director of Public Prosecutions, carried out by statutory instrument SI 2014/834.
