Transfer of property, etc.: Prosecutions Office

Section 49 originally dealt with the transfer of property and related matters to the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, but has since been removed from the legislation entirely.

• Section 49 originally provided for the transfer of property and related assets to the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office.
• The section was omitted (repealed) with effect from 27 March 2014.
• The repeal was made by the Public Bodies (Merger of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Director of Revenue and Customs Prosecutions) Order 2014 (SI 2014/834).
• The removal reflects the merger of the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office into the Crown Prosecution Service, meaning separate property transfer provisions were no longer needed.
