Inspection

Section 42 dealt with inspection provisions but has since been removed from the legislation entirely.

  • Section 42 originally contained provisions relating to inspection under the Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005.
  • The section was omitted (removed) from the Act with effect from 27 March 2014.
  • The removal was carried out by the Public Bodies (Merger of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Director of Revenue and Customs Prosecutions) Order 2014 (SI 2014/834).
  • This change formed part of a wider merger combining the roles of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Director of Revenue and Customs Prosecutions into a single office.
