The material in Group 3 does not include—

Schedule 1 paragraph 7 sets out specific materials that are excluded from Group 3, even though they might otherwise appear to fall within that group's description.

  • Certain materials are specifically excluded from Group 3 despite potentially appearing to fit within its scope
  • Moulding sands that contain organic binders are not included in Group 3
  • Man-made mineral fibres derived from glass-reinforced plastic are excluded from Group 3
  • Man-made mineral fibres made from asbestos are also excluded from Group 3
