Power to make consequential and transitional etc provision

Section 93 grants the Welsh Ministers a broad power to make regulations dealing with consequential, transitional and other supplementary matters needed to ensure the Act works effectively.

• The Welsh Ministers may make regulations covering incidental, consequential, supplemental, transitional, transitory or saving provisions as they consider appropriate.
• These regulations can be made for the purposes of, in connection with, or to give full effect to any provision in or under the Act.
• The power is wide enough to allow the Welsh Ministers to amend, revoke or repeal existing legislation, including provisions within the Landfill Disposals Tax (Wales) Act 2017 itself.
• The legislation that may be amended includes Acts of Parliament, Acts or Measures of the National Assembly for Wales, and subordinate legislation made under any of these.
