Meaning of subject-matter and main subject-matter

Section 69 defines what is meant by the "subject-matter" and the "main subject-matter" of a land transaction for the purposes of Land Transaction Tax.

  • The "subject-matter" includes the main subject-matter plus any additional rights or interests that come with it.
  • Additional rights or interests are those that are appurtenant to or connected with the main chargeable interest, such as rights of way or easements.
