Regulations: supplementary

Section 625 sets out supplementary provisions governing the scope, content and retrospective effect of regulations made under the securitisation companies chapter.

  • Regulations may make different provision for different types of company and may include incidental, consequential, transitional and saving provisions.
  • Supplementary provisions in the regulations may amend any part of the Taxes Acts, as defined in section 118(1) of the Taxes Management Act 1970.
  • Where the regulations concern the application of the Corporation Tax Acts to a securitisation company, corporation tax provisions may take effect from the beginning of accounting periods that are already in progress when the regulations are made.
  • Provisions relating to income tax or capital gains tax in such regulations may apply retrospectively to times before the regulations are made.
