Corporation Tax Act 2010 section 329D

Accounting periods and straddling periods

Section 329D dealt with how the rules on controlled foreign companies applied to accounting periods, including periods that straddled a key commencement date, but the entire chapter containing this section has been repealed.

  • Section 329D was part of Chapter 5A (sections 329A–329T) of the Corporation Tax Act 2010, which dealt with controlled foreign company provisions.
  • The section addressed the treatment of accounting periods that straddled relevant dates, ensuring the rules applied correctly where a period fell partly before and partly after a specified date.
  • The entire Chapter 5A was repealed by Finance Act 2015, Schedule 11, paragraph 13(1).
  • The repeal takes effect in relation to accounting periods ending on or after 5 December 2013, meaning the provisions have no application for any such periods.
