Allocation of levy rate tables based on vehicle emissions and weight

Schedule 1 paragraph 1 explains which levy rate table applies to a heavy goods vehicle, depending on whether it meets Euro 6 emissions standards and its revenue weight band.

• Heavy goods vehicles meeting Euro 6 emissions standards are charged under Table 1.
• Heavy goods vehicles that do not meet Euro 6 emissions standards are charged under Table 1A, which applies higher levy rates.
• Table 1B defines the weight bands used for both Table 1 and Table 1A, based on the vehicle's revenue weight.
• The combination of a vehicle's emissions classification and its revenue weight band determines the levy amount payable.
