Tax Collection and Management (Wales) Act 2016 section 25

Payments of receipts into Welsh Consolidated Fund

Section 25 deals with how the Welsh Revenue Authority must handle the tax revenues it collects, requiring payment into the Welsh Consolidated Fund while allowing certain deductions to be made first.

  • The Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) must pay all tax revenues it collects into the Welsh Consolidated Fund.
  • Before making that payment, WRA may deduct amounts it has paid out as repayments of devolved taxes.
  • WRA may also deduct any interest it has paid on those tax repayments.
  • Credits given in respect of devolved taxes may likewise be deducted before payment into the Fund.
