Removal of members etc.

Section 7 sets out the circumstances in which members of the Welsh Revenue Authority can be removed from office or automatically cease to hold their position.

• Welsh Ministers can remove non-executive members who become disqualified, are absent for over six months without permission, or are considered unfit, unable, or unwilling to serve.
• Non-executive members can remove elected executive members who are absent for over six months without permission or are considered unfit, unable, or unwilling to serve.
• A deputy chairperson automatically loses that role if they cease to be a non-executive member.
• Members automatically lose their position if their employment status changes — non-executive members who become WRA staff, or executive members who leave their staff role, cease to be members.
