Appointment of elected executive member

Section 6 sets out how the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) must appoint an elected executive member from among its own staff through a ballot process.

  • WRA must hold a ballot of its staff to select an elected executive member.
  • The non-executive members of WRA must appoint the ballot winner and set the terms of their appointment.
  • The elected executive member serves for the period and on the terms specified in their appointment, subject to rules on removal from office.
  • The elected executive member may resign at any time by giving notice to the non-executive members.
