Public Services Ombudsman

Section 35 adds the Welsh Revenue Authority to the list of public bodies that can be investigated by the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.

  • The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales investigates complaints about public bodies in Wales.
  • The Public Services Ombudsman (Wales) Act 2005 contains a list of authorities subject to the Ombudsman's oversight.
  • Section 35 amends that list to include the Welsh Revenue Authority under a new "Taxation" heading.
  • This means that anyone dissatisfied with the conduct or service of the Welsh Revenue Authority can complain to the Ombudsman.
