Interpretation

Paragraph 6 of Schedule 7ZB provides definitions of key terms used throughout the Schedule.

• "Arrangements" is broadly defined to cover any scheme, agreement, understanding, transaction or series of transactions, whether or not legally enforceable.
• "Associate" follows the definition in section 448 of CTA 2010, but with the modification that brothers and sisters are excluded from the meaning of "relative".
• "Period of restriction" takes its meaning from paragraph 1(4) of the Schedule.
• "The shares" takes its meaning from paragraph 1(5) of the Schedule.
