Taxation of Chargeable Gains Act 1992 Schedule 4C paragraph 8C

Attribution of gains: Schedule 4C pool gains and other gains

Paragraph 8C previously dealt with the attribution of gains arising from Schedule 4C pool gains and other gains in the context of transfers of value by trustees to non-resident settlements, but was repealed with effect from 6 April 2008.

  • Paragraph 8C provided rules for attributing gains categorised as Schedule 4C pool gains alongside other types of gains.
  • The paragraph worked in conjunction with paragraph 8B of the same Schedule to govern how such gains were allocated.
  • Both paragraphs 8B and 8C were repealed by the Finance Act 2008, Schedule 7, paragraphs 128 and 139.
  • The repeal took effect from 6 April 2008, meaning these rules no longer apply to gains arising on or after that date.
