Parliamentary and Assembly control of orders and regulations

Schedule 4 paragraph 11 amends section 166 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, which deals with Parliamentary and Assembly control of orders and regulations, by making two technical changes.

• Amends section 166 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 concerning Parliamentary oversight of delegated legislation
• Modifies subsection (5) to clarify that regulations made by the Lord Chancellor are treated in the same manner as a statutory instrument, with section 5 of the Statutory Instruments Act 1946 applying accordingly
• Expands subsection (10A) by adding references to sections 132, 133 and 134 alongside the existing reference to section 129
• These are consequential amendments arising from the introduction of tax credits under the Tax Credits Act 2002
