Legal Aid, Advice and Assistance (Northern Ireland) Order 1981

Schedule 3 paragraph 4 originally made consequential amendments to the Legal Aid, Advice and Assistance (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 in connection with the introduction of tax credits, but this paragraph has since been repealed.

  • Paragraph 4 of Schedule 3 amended the Northern Ireland legal aid provisions to reflect the tax credits system introduced by the 2002 Act.
  • The entire paragraph has been repealed and is no longer in force.
  • The repeal was effected by the Access to Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2003, which replaced the 1981 legal aid framework in Northern Ireland.
  • The commencement of the repeal was brought into effect by the Access to Justice (2003 Order) (Commencement No. 7, Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.
