Child Support Act 1991

Paragraph 22 of Schedule 3 updates the Child Support Act 1991 to replace references to working families' tax credit with the new tax credits introduced by the Tax Credits Act 2002.

• Amends section 47(3)(b) of the Child Support Act 1991, which deals with exemption from fees in child support cases
• Removes the outdated reference to "working families' tax credit"
• Replaces it with references to "any element of child tax credit other than the family element" and "working tax credit"
• Ensures that recipients of the new tax credits continue to benefit from fee exemptions in child support proceedings
