Amendment to Article 183 (regulations and orders)

Schedule 3 paragraph 56 amends Article 183 of the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995, which governs how regulations and orders under that Order are made, by adding a new parliamentary procedure requirement for regulations made under Article 18(10).

• Article 183 of the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995, which sets out the procedures for making regulations and orders, is amended
• The existing reference in paragraph (1) to paragraphs up to "(3)" is extended to cover the new paragraph "(4)"
• A new paragraph (4) is inserted after paragraph (3), introducing a specific parliamentary procedure for regulations made under Article 18(10)
• Regulations under Article 18(10) must be made by statutory instrument and are subject to the negative resolution procedure, meaning either House of Parliament can annul them
