Commencement

Section 66 establishes when the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 came into force.

  • The Act came into force on 1st September 1994.
  • The commencement date is subject to exceptions or modifications set out in Schedule 4 to the Act.
  • Schedule 4 may provide for certain provisions to commence on different dates.
  • Apart from any Schedule 4 exceptions, all provisions of the Act took effect from the single commencement date.
